AWS Security Engineer

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Advanced English
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
•   AWS certifications: AWS Certified Security - Specialty,
•   Proficient in AWS security services and features of services to provide a secure production environment.
•   Knowledge of scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation of tasks and security checks.
•   Familiarity with DevSecOps practices integrating security into DevOps processes.
•   Proven experience with incident response and digital forensics in cloud environments.
•   Excellent understanding of networking concepts and protocols, as well as experience with network security methods and tools.
•   Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving attitude with attention to detail.
•   Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively articulating security risks to technical and non-technical audiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work at the US Central Time Zone
• Design and develop security architectures for cloud and cloud/hybrid-based systems within AWS.
•   Implement robust security measures and infrastructure to protect sensitive data and systems in the cloud, including encryption, access control, and network security configurations.
•   Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments to identify potential threats and weaknesses in the cloud setup.
•   Establish and maintain security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
•   Automate security controls to reduce manual workload and improve response times for detecting and mitigating security incidents.
•   Lead and manage security incident response efforts, including forensic analysis and coordination with stakeholders.
•   Collaborate with development teams to integrate security practices within the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring secure code deployment and configuration management.
•   Provide feedback to AWS product teams about security-related features and potential areas for improvement based on real-world usage patterns.
•   Stay abreast of emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and controls; continuously educating self and team to maintain a cutting-edge approach to cloud security.
