AWS DevOps Engineer

QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced English level
• Work at US Central Timezone
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 10 years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role with a strong focus on AWS cloud services.
• In-depth understanding of AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, Cognito, RDS, VPC, CloudFormation, and others.
• Advanced knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CDK, and CloudFormation.
• Proven track record with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar. 
• Strong experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Perl for creating automation scripts.
• Experience in managing full-stack applications, including both front-end and back-end components.
• Expertise in monitoring, logging, and management tools like Datadog AWS CloudWatch, and ELK stack.
• Strong understanding of network architecture and application development methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to mentor team members, lead projects, and interface with stakeholders at all levels.
• AWS certifications: AWS SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional are preferred.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

• Lead the automation of infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment processes, utilizing AWS services and third-party tools.
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines using Harness and TeamCity to streamline deployment and operation tasks, ensuring high availability and seamless rollout of updates.
• Drive best practices in infrastructure security, compliance auditing, and perform regular security assessments, aligning with industry and AWS-specific security standards.
• Optimize AWS cloud resources for cost-efficient operation, regularly reviewing performance metrics and implementing cost-saving measures.
• Foster a DevOps culture within the organization, mentoring junior engineers and advocating for a collaborative, automated, and iterative approach to development and operations.
• Spearhead the integration of complex systems, ensuring high interoperability between cloud services and on-premises legacy systems.
• Lead by example, staying abreast of the latest AWS features and capabilities, and applying this knowledge to continually innovate the platform.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, security, and product, to define requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver high-quality solutions.
