Product Manager (ERP/Accounting)

ZeBrands, a Mexican startup founded in 2015 with the introduction of its first brand Luuna is now expanding its operations to Brazil and the US, seeking a Product Owner Lead to define, design and implement all the software needed to support Brazil operations ensuring its compliance with the country accounting regulations. The project Manager has to become an expert on ZeBrands vision and system infrastructure in order to guide the software roadmap for Brazil's expansion, not only for today's needs, also for future group consolidation in the country.  

 

Since its foundation Luuna was developed with the purpose of revolutionizing the sleep industry and has become the fastest-growing direct to consumer brand across all categories and a reference for disruptions in the retail industry in Mexico. Since then, the group has launched multiple brands, transforming Luuna into ZeBrands, a brand powerhouse. Its customer-centric business model, powered by a strong IT backbone has allowed it to double its sales every year, on average, since inception. ZeBrands intends to keep delivering high-quality products and services, powered by the best-in-class tech platform across Mexico and Latin America, targeting different industries with the same characteristics as the sleep industry in Mexico.

 

This is mainly a remote position, but candidates should be able to attend ZeBrands Sao Paulo office or any other supplier location for the project purpose if needed.   


Main responsibilities:


  • Business requirement:  Works directly with the business unit to understand the operation and translates the needs into a software requirement. Not everything will be solved by the software, so the ideal candidate is also in charge of mapping certain processes and determining its KPI's.  For this position is required to lead 3 developers together with the Technical Lead of the squad.

 

  • Design the solution: The candidate needs to create the "user stories" for the development team to fulfill the business requirement. For that he needs an understanding of some technical knowledge such as the system configuration, the software processes according to best practices, and also needs to define the acceptance criteria for the development. For this task it will be helpful if he/she has some programming knowledge (at least the mind structure to define programming algorithms) and also some SQL knowledge.  

 

  • Define and report the sprint achievement : He/she will work together with the technical lead (each squad has one) to define the priority of each activity, define its weight and create the sprint plan. He needs to solve any blocked activity in order to achieve the sprint objective. His/her daily work is with the development team to assure the business needs are understood and fulfilled. 

 

  • QA and business training: The Product Owner is responsible for reviewing each development, assuring its quality. For that he needs to do a test matrix taking into account all the system functionality and possible programming errors.  After the PM's QA phase, he/she is responsible to create the user manuals and show the business users the new functionality. 

 

  • Continuous improvement: The Product Owner will lead all technology requirements for the business in Brazil, ensuring scalability, sustainability, and stability of all tech products that support the operation, with a mindset of continuous growth and improvements'


Background and languages:


  • Strong experience in implementing ERP (Tax, Accounting, FI) for Brazilian companies with knowledge in the Accounting Regulations.
  • Desirable to have experience in the implementation of Supply Chain & Logistic modules.
  • Knowledge about the software & design best practices (SCRUM methodology).
  • Knowledge of the value chain process of the retail/e-commerce business.
  • Fluency in both Portuguese and English is a mandatory requirement.
  • Desirable to speak Spanish (plus).


You could be have experience as a Solution Architect or Project Leader for a Software Implementation company
